Bilge Kobas
bilge[at]bitsnbricks.comBilge has her BSc degree from Istanbul Technical University (ITU, 2008) and her MSc degrees from ITU (2011) and Architectural Association (AA) School of Architecture (2012) with TUBITAK and British Council&HSBC scholarships, respectively. She studied sustainable environmental design and building physics. Bilge has been teaching and been invited as a guest lecturer/jury member in several universities since 2014, and she co-founded architectural practice Super Eight in 2014. She is currently a PhD student and a research associate at the Technical University of Munich, in the Chair of Building Technology and Climate Responsive Design.
Can Sucuoglu
can[at]bitsnbricks.comCan Kadir Sucuoğlu, graduated from Yıldız Technical University in 2005 and completed his M.Arch degree at Southern California Institute of Architecture (Sci-Arc). From 2007 to 2009 he worked at Jorge Pardo Sculpture in Los Angeles and at this time he specialized in digital design and production techniques. He continued his career as a design coordinator in Warsaw 2. Metro Line in Poland and became a partner at İyiofis 2012. Iyiofis has been providing design services to leading Turkish and worldwide institutions and exhibit work in various biennials and exhibitions. He has been a part-time tutor in İstanbul Bilgi University between 2012 and 2019. He is currently the interim director of The Spatial Analysis and Visualization Initiative of Pratt Institute.
Elif Ensari Sucuoglu
elif[at]bitsnbricks.comElif Ensari is a Research Scholar in the Transportation and Land-Use program at the NYU Marron Institute. She was trained as an architect specializing in architectural design computing. She holds a master’s degree from Southern California Institute of Architecture (SciARC) and a dual Ph.D. degree from Istanbul Technical University and University of Lisbon. Her research utilizes urban analytics to support design and planning for sustainable mobility. She has taught at Istanbul Bilgi, Kadir Has and Izmir Economy Universities.
Cemal Koray Bingöl
koray[at]bitsnbricks.comCemal Koray Bingöl is an architect and the coordinator of the Digital Fabrication Lab at Istanbul Technical University's Faculty of Architecture. His research focuses on computational design technologies through data-driven urbanism, interactive design and robotic fabrication. He finished his study at Computer-Aided Architectural Design Master’s Programme at Yildiz Technical University, with an exchange program to TU Eindhoven, after he received his Bachelor of Architecture from Istanbul Technical University. In his master’s thesis, he researched simulating urban sprawl through computational models. He taught computational design, basic design courses at Istanbul Bilgi University between 2013 and 2019 and has been giving lectures in various universities on computational and interactive design. Meanwhile, he co-founded the computational design collaboration Epitome {co net}, and data-driven design consultancy Bits 'n Bricks. Currently, he is working on his PhD in Architectural Design Computing at ITU.
